Spirituality, Leadership and Service
under the guidance of Our Lady of
Good Counsel.....

The Phoenix Diocesan Council of Catholic Women is affiliated with the National Council of Catholic Women (NCCW). Our purpose is to support, empower and educate all Catholic women in spirituality, leadership and service. PDCCW programs respond with Gospel values to the needs of the Church and society in our modern world.

Monsignor Robert Donahue was influential in establishing PDCCW in the Diocese of Phoenix in 1970. PDCCW is partially funded through the Diocesan CDA program.

Together we CAN make a Difference!

Since 1920, NCCW affiliates have joined together to:

  • Unite and Inspire Catholic Women
  • Insure Catholic representation on key current issues
  • Give greater service to church and society

WHAT PDCCW DOES...

  • Acts as a liaison between the Bishop and Catholic women throughout the Diocese.
  • Promotes and fosters spiritual growth among women.
  • Develops leadership potential.
  • Provides a medium for women to speak and act upon issues of common interest..
  • In conjunction with the Arizona Catholic Conference, PDCCW brings legislative issues to the fore which could affect families. This provides avenues to address concerns.
  • Alerts Members to International needs. Raises funds for CRS in crisis situations.
